Born and raised in sunny San Diego, Cheryll Kidd is a dedicated dental hygienist with 10 years of experience, specializing in providing portable dental care for individuals with disabilities and the elderly. Caring for her grandmother, who suffered from dementia, deeply influenced her decision to start a mobile dental hygiene practice. As her grandmother’s condition progressed, Cheryll realized how challenging it was for her to receive proper oral care. Traveling to appointments became difficult, and Cheryll saw firsthand how essential dental hygiene is for overall health, especially for those with limited mobility or cognitive impairments. This experience ignited a passion in her to create a solution that brings compassionate, accessible dental care directly to those who need it most—especially the elderly and others in similar situations.
In addition to her dental career, Cheryll has a strong commitment to community service. She serves as the California Dental Hygiene Association (CDHA) San Diego component's Public Health Outreach Chair providing and serving in volunteer positions with clinics and programs throughout the county and Tijuana. She previously taught gymnastics at the YMCA to children with special needs, empowering them through movement and confidence-building activities. Cheryll is also actively involved in fundraising for various charitable organizations, including those focused on Alzheimer's and dementia, ALS, and suicide prevention.
When she’s not caring for her patients or giving back to the community, Cheryll enjoys running 5Ks and 10Ks, lifting weights, and taking dance classes. A true foodie at heart, she loves exploring new cuisines and traveling to new places with her partner and daughter.
